We will be completing a math lesson each day from chapter 5…. Fractions, fractions, fractions!!!
We will finish A Christmas Carol on Tuesday!
On Thursday, we have our study trip to the KC Rep. Theater to see the play! I will send home the permission slips on Monday.
Important things to remember about the study trip are to send/bring a cold lunch and drink, and to have your child dress in their "Sunday/Christmas best." No jeans! Mrs. Latteman and I agree that they need to look nice since we are going to the theater. There will be a concession stand during the play’s intermission. You can send some money with your child if you want them to get a snack during the intermission. If you are coming to the play, we will not have room for you on the bus. There are a ton of parents and grandparents going. You can follow us in your car or meet us at the theater. We are leaving at 9:30. The play is from 10-12 with a question and answer session from 12-12:30. We will eat lunch at 12:30 and leave around 1:00.
Vocabulary:
We will have a vocabulary test over Unit 8 on Friday.
Science:
We will work on completing our science packet over animals this week.
The poster project is due on Monday the 19th. PLEASE remind your child to follow the sheet of project requirements and the rubric. There is also a sheet of information that your child needs to complete and hand in with their project. This worksheet and the rubric are on the last page of their science packet. I will accept early projects if your child is finished early.
Music:
The kids have a music assignment due on Monday.
FYI:
-Christmas Carol permission slips due on Tuesday.
-You can send money with your child for the concession stand during intermission of the play if you wish.
-PTO meeting on Tuesday night at 6:50. Reserve babysitting if you need it.
